New Update

Hello all........

Sorry its been so long sense I have updated or added any new photos
but I have had a lot of computer problems and internet connection problems.
I think I'm square now for a bit anyways! lol
Hope soon to be connected to high speed but as for now I'm still working with dailup!   A thing of the past but when your out in the country they tend to forget about you!  Now they have it in my area  (satellite) so as soon as I can afford the hookup I will be flying down the information highway at supper dupper speed!

I have added to new two new photo albums ......Both are of my first paid event which was a cancer found raiser held at a local retirement center here in Idabel Oklahoma. All of the state and local polititions were invited to speak. My objective was to photograph the polititions and the residents of the retirement center which I have come to know well over the past couple of years as my wife has a hair styling  salon there. One of the album was shot with digital SLR and the other was film. Over all I think the shoot was a success. It was 100 plus degree weather under an intense sun for three and a half hours. It was hard work but I really did injoy it and I hope the photos will show it!
This job has led to others and Im proud to be able to Take photos That can become lasting and wonderful memories for people of all walks of life.
What can be more wonderful and beautiful than that!!!!!
If you happen upon my modest little site and see  my photos I hope that you will leave me a comment......Like them or not as they help me grow in my passion that has become more of an addiction than anything else.
Check back soon as I will be adding a new artist ablum ......
God bless you all and thank you for visiting!

Special thanks to Marty Wilson ( A great photographer in the Dallas Texas area) for helping me grow as a photograper and for soooo much more!
God bless you my good friend and fellow photograper!!
One day all of our dreams will come true!

Photographers update February

I thought I would update my site.  Im working on a new album to add in the comming weeks I hope to have it ready. I finally purchased my infrared Filter!! Am now in the process of learning how to process IR photos. So soon Ill have some photos to showcase in infrared. That is very exciting as I have been waiting to get into that for quite awhile now but took alot of research to find out if I could use one with my camera. I found out that I can but I have a block on my camera for such imagerey but had learned from fellow shutterbugs that it can still be used but it requires longer exposure times and also the added work of having to compose the shot and setting focus with the filter off and then putting it on and then pressing the shutter. This makes it a not everyday filter to use but thats ok.... No matter how much we like certin filters we must resist the temptation of over use as to not become redundeant with our photography. I am also getting read to purchase an extender for my lens but can't make up my mind to get the 1.4 or the 2.0 lens converter. The 1.4 will make my 300 mm to about 900mm (alittle more) with the digital senser factor....which should be fine for the wild life and nature shots I want to do, but not sure if I can resist the extra power of the 2.0...........While the 2.0 will get me closer I know that I will get the better quality with the 1.4......decisions, decisions.......
I'm finishing up on my third unit in my photography course and that will put me half way home!!   I have the forth unit in my possession and hope to be on it in the next week or two........Getting excited!
If this were all not enough....Im working on getting my studio up and running.
Have a couple floods and one spot. Looking for some back drops and some other gear for mulit strob work.....(slaves) ect....So much to do and so little time. So much money and so little of it!   Wish me luck ...and look for a new album very soon!

Cheers

New Album entery.........Details

Hello my friends. I have added a new Art album this morning. It contains my newest works and hopfully will show a lot about what Ive been working on in the past couple months, such as Photoshop skills I have learned and been working on as well as some new techniques that I have been working on through my studies with the course ( New York Institute of photography ) and a few ideas that have come from off the top of my head.
A few weeks ago I got to go out and do something I've been wanting to do for quite a while. We had a really beautiful winter day with temps up at about 80% nice sun and a perfect deep blue sky! I drove around and went into town where I knew I could get some great church shots. I was not disapointed! I had such a wonderful time, and got some really great shots and I have included them here in this new album. That is one of the most wonderful things to a photographer. Seeing beauty in things that for the most part we pass off with our everyday lives.but. when behind the view finder, we take much more time to see the beauty from deep within........:) I hope that you will take the time to view my photos and if so that you will be kind enough to leave a comment. Weather you liked the photos or not. If so tell me why and if not tell me why. This is one of the most important things that will help a photographer become better. That is really the only reason I created this site.
Bless you all in the New Year and I hope for you all the good things in life.

Its WInter

Well the weather here has finially change. The Past week the temps have dipped down into the high 20's and low 30's with daytime highs only reaching mid 50's
This week I will have all off work for the holidays! So if it does not stay too awful cold maybe I can get around to visit some of the spots I have mark for photo shoots!  I hope so cause I'm really starting to get down. (Withdraws) you know!

I'm upset enouth to think I missed catching the fall colors so I'm really going to have to make up for it with this years winter images and that could be a real challenge down here in the south! lol

Take care everyone......Hopefully I will have more to say soon.....

Photo & Album Update

Now and then you create a photo that stands alone. I Took this shot for my love of old bare trees against the blue skies.....This shot turn out well but, it was not until a few months later that it took own a whole new meaning and feel.....I was going though some of my older photos and had this one up and thought there was something I could do with it to make it come alive. I love IR photography and have been wanting to get more into that. I had not yet sought out a filter that would work with my digital slr and film was out as there are so few places that do IR prossesing. Living in a small town I figured I would wait until I could just find a filter that would do the job well enough on my Canon Rebel digital ......Then as I was learning more and more about Photo shop I came on the IR filter and found I could do some altering in that mode and went to work experimenting on this photo. And when I finished with twiking the saturation, hue and contrast to just the right points I had a new photo that just pops!
This Photo is called ( Standing in the shadows ) stands alone in its artistic form and I feel it only right that it is the only photo that should grace the album ......At least untill  the next photo comes along to replace it.
I will always keep this added photo album as the one that show cases my current work.  I would appericiate any comments on this and future photos in this album be they good or bad.
Happy shoots my fellow Photographers!!!

New telephoto lens!

Its been a few week sence I have added anything so today I wanted to share my good new! Last week I got my first telephoto zoom lens for my digital slr.....75-300  facal length for all my nature and sports shots. For the price this lens seems to do a wonderful job! I added a new Album (Artistic photos 3) Most all the Photo shot in that album were done with this lens.  This week I have spent most of my time working inside under lights doing still life shoots.  If you stumble by my site and take the time to look at my albums  please take time to tell me what you think of the photos as I set this site up for my family and friends, I also find it useful for judging my growth as a photographer. Any comments.......Good or bad are welcome!
Any other Photographers that have been bitten by the shutterbug wanting to share stories or ideas, I would love to hear from you.
Until next time ......Happy shooting!!!
